Summary
Buckman Terrace is a 122-unit apartment community located in the trendy Buckman Neighborhood of Portland, OR. Originally constructed in 2000, the community is close to parks, shopping, restaurants, coffee bars and is minutes from downtown. Certa was engaged to provide consultation services to assist Ownership with the evaluation of their building envelope assemblies to develop a long-overdue maintenance and repair program. Subsequent consulting services included the preparation of design documents, solicitation and coordination of contractor bids, and oversight of the construction.
Repairs included the comprehensive replacement of failed deck and balcony waterproofing assemblies, repair of problematic window and door flashing elements, repair of leaking storefront and vegetative roofing systems, and a comprehensive cleaning and repair program for the EIFS cladding that included the replacement of sealants and the application of a protective siliconized elastomeric coating system.
