Summary
Certa Building Solutions was engaged as the expert to lead the assessment of the building envelope assemblies of this coastal high-rise development. Certa’s evaluation of the stucco cladding, exterior glazing, pool deck waterproofing system, and low-sloped roofing of this coastal 30-story twin high-rise community revealed extensive deficiencies in the construction and weatherproofing capabilities of these assemblies.
Certa developed conceptual repair recommendations to address the extensive resulting water damage and develop new building envelope systems and strategies to rehabilitate the failed assemblies.
